Scottoiler was founded in 1986 by Fraser Scott. The idea came from frustration with constantly having to manually lubricate the chain and its rapid wear, especially when riding long distances. The goal was to create a system that would take care of the chain automatically and efficiently.

The brand's philosophy focuses on simplicity, reliability and functionality. Their systems are designed to be easy to install and require minimal maintenance, while extending the life of the chain and reducing its wear.

Scottoiler's main product is their automatic chain lubrication system, which works on the principle of vacuum or electronic.

V-System (vacuum): This is their original and best-known system. It uses vacuum from the engine to dispense oil to the chain. When the engine is running, the vacuum opens a valve that releases oil from the reservoir, which is then fed to the chain via a hose. The dispensing speed can be easily adjusted.
E-System (electronic): This is a more modern and advanced system that uses a G-sensor. This measures the acceleration and deceleration of the motorcycle and dispenses oil as needed. It is powered by the motorcycle's battery and is fully adjustable via a small control unit.
Oil: Scottoiler also produces its own lubricating oils. They offer two types - red (for temperatures above 20 °C) and blue (for temperatures below 20 °C)
