Stainless steel gear lever R1300GS (Adventure)

The gearshift rod is used to transfer movement from the gearshift lever to the gearbox. It is also equipped with opposite threads on both sides, thanks to which the height of the gearshift can be adjusted after loosening the lock nuts and turning the rod.
 Unfortunately, in the case of the R1300GS, the manufacturer chose duralumin as the rod material. Thanks to this, its strength is much lower than that of the steel version used in older models. The biggest problem, however, is the fact that duralumin, in conjunction with the steel joints at its ends, oxidizes and after just a few weeks creates a connection so strong that it is impossible to turn the rod. The aluminum rod then cracks even with a small force applied to turn it. 

 Our rod is made of stainless steel with a strength many times higher than aluminum. Thanks to the same material as used for the joints, there is no oxidation and the rod can be used to adjust the position of the shift lever.
