The Trigger Wizard is a simple wiring adapter that converts the switched ground wire of the high beam (used in LED headlights) to a traditional wiring where the switched wire provides 12V when the high beam is turned on. This adapter is necessary if you want to dim the auxiliary lights using the factory high beam switch.
Simply connect the white and blue ends to the DENALI DataDim, then connect the black and white wires to the vehicle's high beam output.
What is a switched ground light? A switched ground wire is a common configuration for LED vehicle headlight circuits today and simply means that the switch is on the negative side of the headlight cable. To find out what type of switching your vehicle has, simply measure the voltage on the high beam wire with a voltmeter when you turn the high beam switch on and off. Traditional positive-switching high beam circuits show 0 volts when the high beams are off and 12 volts when they are on.
