In order to mount the original BMW aluminum top case from the BMW R1200GS and R1250GS LC on the R1300GS, which is equipped with a Vario case carrier, you will need this adapter plate.
By mounting this plate and the case carriers, it will be possible to use a complete set of 3 original BMW aluminum cases from the R1200GS and R1250GS on the R1300GS.
