The cover protects the stock muffler on your GS in the event of a fall. The discreet design perfectly complements the appearance of the tailpipe. Two polygonal openings complete the design integration.
We designed the construction and material thickness of the muffler protector so that it has sufficient dimensions and, in the event of a fall, the muffler is sufficiently far from the ground.
The protector is made of heat-resistant silicone elastomer and reinforced with a stainless steel insert. This means that the protector can simply be "snapped" onto the rear of the muffler cover like a sleeve and positioned precisely.
The material properties are designed so that the friction between the muffler and the protector ensures that the protector fits securely after being put on.
These types of protectors have proven themselves even in demanding use in enduro racing - this was the reason for developing one such muffler protector for the GS.
