The cylinders of boxer engines are susceptible to damage due to their extended position. Damage can occur when falling, but also when simply handling the motorcycle near a wall. In engines with Shiftcam 1250 cc, the design of the mechanism is extremely complex, and there is a risk that the valve cover will shift on the cylinder head even with a small impact and, under certain circumstances, damage the valve system.
Wunderlich covers exactly copy the profile of the original valve cover. The cover is made of very durable plastic and on the inside has structurally integrated segments made of elastic material, resistant to high temperatures. These segments absorb and evenly distribute the force of the impact. The covers are also supplemented with a stainless steel insert, which serves as protection against abrasion and puncture and subsequent loss of oil. This allows you to continue your journey even after an accident that would otherwise prevent the engine from running. Valve guards are manufactured in Europe and the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty on them.
