The MONOKEY system is a patented and widely popular motorcycle case mounting system developed by the Italian manufacturer GIVI. It is engineered as a heavier-duty, more versatile solution compared to the brand's alternative system, MONOLOCK.

Key Features and Functionality of the MONOKEY System

One Key Operation: The core design concept utilizes a single key to unlock the case, open the lid, and release the case from the mounting rack, significantly streamlining luggage handling.
Heavy-Duty Construction: MONOKEY cases are built for higher payloads (up to a 10 kg / 22 lbs load capacity per case) and are constructed from premium, durable materials such as aluminum or high-impact reinforced polymers.
Versatility: The system offers dual-purpose compatibility. Cases designated as MONOKEY can function as either a top case (topcase) or side cases (panniers).
Rack-Specific Mounting (Plate Sold Separately): MONOKEY cases are sold without a mounting plate, as the plate is integrated into or paired with the motorcycle-specific rack system. Installation requires a bike-specific rack (e.g., Monorack FZ or tubular side racks such as PL/PLR).
Plate and Rack Variations: Top cases require dedicated mounting plates such as the M5, M7, M8, or M9 series. Side cases utilize specialized tubular side racks (PL, PLR), including heavy-duty variants designed for aluminum cases (such as PL CAM).
