The design of the skid plate preserves the maximum possible ground clearance and the lean angle of the motorcycle. The shape of the part reduces the risk of unintended snagging on terrain. Ventilation openings support cooling and, after riding through water, allow for the free drainage of captured liquid and debris.
Curved impact surfaces significantly reduce the risk of damage from flying stones and foreign objects. The skid plate simultaneously reduces thermal stress on the engine by directing water currents thrown up by the front wheel downwards.
External forces and moments are captured by the mounting elements, which also absorb vibrations. The result is high part rigidity and mechanical stability with significantly reduced weight.
The skid plate is corrosion-resistant and is easily mounted into the designated mounting points of the original engine guard. Mounting hardware is included in the package. The skid plate features the Wunderlich brand logo.

The skid plate is made of high-strength aluminum, precisely machined and finished with a high-quality black powder coating. The construction includes integrated mounting elements that dampen vibrations and countersunk screw connections.
